The Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association (GLTPA) and Logging Expo Committee announced last month that Great Lakes Logging & Heavy Equipment Expo dates and time have changed for the 2015 show that will be held at The U.P. State Fairground in Escanaba, MI.

The Expo will now be held on September 10 - 12, 2015, with the trade show returning to the traditional hours of Thursday, 12:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Kickoff Event will continue to open the Logging Expo festivities on Thursday evening.

“After much discussion and research, the Expo Committee decided to shift the dates and hours back to what has been historically successfully for this trade show,” states Aaron Nieman, Expo Event Coordinator. “There was some momentum for the event to continue with the two-day format that has been used for the past 2 years, but switch from Friday and Saturday to Thursday and Friday.  The Committee felt that due to the Labor Day holiday, starting Thursday morning would put an added burden to the large outdoor vendors who need as much time as possible to set-up.”

Starting Thursday afternoon allows attendees the opportunity to travel in the morning, network with vendors in the afternoon and hopefully stay to attend the Kickoff Event.  Friday has always been the most well attended day, and keeping hours on Saturday provides the opportunity for those who work during the week a chance to attend the Expo. This has been a formula for success for over 65 years and GLTPA is excited to partner with Escanaba, MI to make the 70th Annual Expo the most memorable one yet.
